About Alexander Ross
Alexander Ross was an abolitionist tht worked to free slaves posing as a person who studies birds. He was featured in the novel Underground to Canada by Barbara Smucker. Mr. Ross was born in 1832, and died in about 1897. In the course of his life, he freed over 30 slaves to Canada. Although he wasn't very well Known, he remains an important historical figure nonetheless.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):)!!

I agree that Mr. Alexander Ross was a wonderful person. It is great that there were people trying to help the slaves escape from slavery, and travel to Canada. I can't believe he freed over 30 slaves! Nice word choice (the post, not the person).
