About Alexander Ross

Alexander Ross was an abolitionist tht worked to free slaves posing as a person who studies birds. He was featured in the novel Underground to Canada by Barbara Smucker. Mr. Ross was born in 1832, and died in about 1897. In the course of his life, he freed over 30 slaves to Canada. Although he wasn't very well Known, he remains an important historical figure nonetheless.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):)!!

Kindness

When all of the other people in this time of slavery gladly treat people like dirt because of their skin colour, I do the kind thing and, not only am I kind to the slaves that I rescue, but I am kind to all slaves. Sometimes the right thing to do is the hardest. In my case, this is certainly sure, but It will all pay off in the end!:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)!

Bravery

In Underground Canada, bravery is an important for people helping slaves;people like me,Alexander Ross! Most people would even encourage slavery without even thinking about the slaves. But I always help.I help slaves escape,I stop cruel masters from whipping slaves.I've saved dozens of slaves, and I'm proud of it.I was brave, and did what no one else would!!!!!!!:):):):)
